Privacy Policy

The short version

applymd.app (the "Service") is operated by Rezumab LLC. We collect the information you give us to power the calculator and the school list, plus standard usage analytics and error logs. We don't sell your data. You can delete your account and your data at any time by emailing danny@rezumab.app.

applymd.app is operated by Rezumab LLC ("we", "us"). You can reach us at danny@rezumab.app.

What we collect

We collect three categories of information:

• Account information you give us when you sign in: your email address, and any display name or profile fields you set on the profile page.
• Application data you enter into the Service: MCAT score, GPA, residency, the schools on your list, and the courses you save (course name, code, credit hours, grade, and the category we or you assign to them).
• Usage data automatically collected when you use the Service: pages visited, referrer, approximate location (country / region inferred from IP), device and browser type, and error reports if something breaks.

How we use it

• To run the calculator and personalize your view of each school.
• To save your school list and course history across sessions.
• To debug errors and improve the Service.
• To produce aggregated, de-identified analytics - for example, "how many users picked X residency" - which may inform blog or social posts. We never publish anything that could identify you.

We don't use your data to train AI models. We don't sell or rent it to anyone.

Transcript uploads

If you upload a transcript on the Courses page, the file is sent to Google's Gemini API for parsing (PDFs are also extracted on our server with a text-extraction library before being sent for classification). The parsed course rows are saved to your account. The original file is not stored on our servers - server-side temporary copies are deleted immediately after parsing, and image transcripts are OCR'd in your browser without ever leaving your device.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the service providers we use to run applymd.app, and only as needed to deliver the Service:

• Supabase - authentication and database (account, profile, school list, courses).
• Vercel - hosting and content delivery.
• Google Analytics 4 - anonymized usage analytics (page views, referrers).
• Sentry - error and performance monitoring.
• Google Gemini API - transcript parsing and course classification (only for transcripts you upload).

Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy and data processing terms. We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of users.

Cookies and similar technologies

• Required cookies: Supabase sets a session cookie when you sign in. Without it, you can't stay signed in.
• Analytics cookies: Google Analytics sets _ga and similar cookies to count visits and sessions. You can opt out by enabling Do Not Track or using a browser extension that blocks Google Analytics; the Service will still work.

Where data is stored

Our database (Supabase) and hosting (Vercel) run in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, course history, and school list within 30 days. Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained indefinitely. Google Analytics retains usage data per its default retention setting (currently 14 months).

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your profile, courses, and school list at any time from inside the Service. If you'd like to export your data or delete your account, email danny@rezumab.app.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. for example, the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing (residents of California, the EU/EEA, and the UK, among others). We honor these rights regardless of where you live; email us to exercise them.

Children

applymd.app is built for medical school applicants and is not intended for anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13; if you believe a child has given us their information, email danny@rezumab.app and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
